Polypaint

Hey, another update today..

Wanted to show my workflow on the polypaint for the rest of the body.
It is  not a 100% done, but it is a good idea of how it will look done :)

(embed did not work)

Finished Product

I hope this will help some of you with you own polypaints. I might make another speed where I show my progress on the next level of skin details :)

Until next time :)

Long time no see

Hey

Long time no see :)

I have now finally had time to sit down and work on my character for the Major Project.
After trying out allot of different base meshes for my character sculpt I finally found a great base mesh which helped me allot to get things moving. Here is a couple of my head and body tests.

It made it hard to define the correct shapes and look for how I wanted my silhouette to look.
But now I finally have a character I am happy with and it is starting to shape up pretty good :)

For the look of my character I wanted a skinny guy who looked like he had been trough hell and back.
My first "final" sculpt looked way to old.

After a couple of fixes he finally looked younger, and tired.
So here I present to you my final character... William

He is have all the uv's fixed and is shaping up great, later today I will start on my texture painting which will be a a bit challenging for me since I'm not 100% sure if I want to do real SSS or try and fake it in some way.
I will also add some pores and more wrinkles, but that is after I have painted my textures :)

I have also gotten around 80% on my rig, just need to fix the fingers and get the head constraints to work properly.

I followed the Digital Tutors Motion Flow rigging kit to get this puppy up, it have a couple of nifty features in it who I will show off in a later post, most probably with a video clip:)

Until next time

Knut
